Which also raises the point that every guy Boston got has a longer career than Cam Neely. I'm well aware of the fact that his DU will probably never go past 75. But I am okay with this.

Brown scored 115 points 1 season, then 80 points the following, then never surpassed 40 again the rest of his career.... That's not a superstar

Are you guys familiar with training camp systems? They have been instrumental in leagues. I think there are way better systems for developing players then NHL rerates.

I love training camp systems! If they are done right, and most leagues don't know how to do them, let alone know how to do free agency correctly. Problem with training camp systems is, you never truly catch up to the Edmontons of the league.

I think as long as NHL re-rates hold accountable of a players entire career, I'm not talking about retirement, death, midlife crisis.... I'm talking about whether that player was a one or 2 hit wonder vs a legend... they should be re-rated as such, and then let the sim take over development from there. It should be used as a booster not as a golden ticket.

I realize what I could do with Pat LaFontaine but it would be much more enjoyable to play him in my top 6 and develop him.

There has to be a complete system in place I agree. Training Camps, Camp Appeals, Pro Appeals, Farm Appeals, Training Points, Captain Points etc.
You can't leave it all to the sim, but you can't forget that it is a sim either. I can only set Pat LaFontaine up for superstardom butI don't want to turn to the hockeydb to make sure it happens no matter what.

I approve. I know both GM's and neither is looking to damage the team.
